Farine Five Roses
What is the better way to start my thematic series "More than black & white" than to present one of my favorite icons in Montreal. The historic Five Roses Flour Mill, built in 1946, is located at the entrance to the city and its popular red neon lights greet drivers entering the city via the Samuel de Champlain Bridge and the Bonaventure Expressway. Many Montrealers give this sign a particular heritage character in Montreal's industrial history. Tell me, what are the icons that represent parts of your country?
